Dear member of Erasmus+ community,
We present to you the newsletter summarizing the activities of the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia and its partners covering the second half of 2023, where you can learn about the events and initiatives held within the framework of the Erasmus+ program in Armenia.
Our goal is to inform you about the capacity development of universities and VET institutions, international credit mobility programs, our information campaigns, as well as joint events and meetings implemented with partners.

On November 17, the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia successfully implemented the first and largest meeting of the “Erasmus+ Information Days 2023” event series at the Armenian State Pedagogical University.
The event was attended by representatives from the host university, EU delegation to Armenia, higher education institutions, VET institutions, research institutes, non-governmental organizations, business sector and other stakeholder organizations.

On November 29 an information session on Erasmus Mundus Actions was held at Yerevan State University.
Kristine Gevorgyan, coordinator of “Developing Joint Master’s Degree Program in European Studies. Law, Governance and Communication” (DEGES) project presented to the participants the main conditions for applying to the action, structure of the consortium, funding rules and award criteria.

On December 13, an online information session on the Erasmus+ “Capacity building in VET” action took place.
During the meeting, importance of involving VET institutions in Erasmus+ projects, impact of those projects on internationalization of VET institutions, necessary steps to establish connections with international partners, details of Erasmus+ CBVET action, as well as successful experience of the Armenian-French College were discussed.

On December 15, an information session on Jean Monnet Actions took place at the Eurasia International University.
Anna Khvorostyankina, head of the "Law" department of the above-mentioned university, presented Jean Monnet Actions, available funding opportunities, and conditions for applying, as well as shared her own experience with the participants, presenting the features of the Jean Monnet module and chair coordinated by her.

In order to present the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ program to a wider range of beneficiaries, the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia held a series of consultations and information meetings with a number of VET institutions and universities in Yerevan and regions.
The main purpose of those meetings was to present the funding opportunities provided by the Erasmus+ program to the field of higher education and VET, conditions for applying to those programs, the thematic directions of the project proposals, conditions for their acquisition and to discuss the ideas and questions of the participants.

On December 6, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the International Scientific- Educational Center of NAS RA and "Sevani Ishkhan" CJSC to implement joint educational and research activities in the fields of aquaculture and fishery within the framework of the AFISHE program.
The joint cooperation also aims to strengthen university-enterprise cooperation, facilitating the implementation of scientific research and ecology-based activities and boost the productivity of aquaculture and fishery.
The project is coordinated by Armenian National Agrarian university.

On December 1, the final conference dedicated to the summarizing of results of “Reforming Doctoral Education in Armenia in Line with Needs of Academia, Industry and Current EU Practices" (ARMDOCT) project took place. The project was coordinated by Eurasia International university.
Within the framework of the project, the "Concept of reforms of the third cycle (PhD) of RA higher education" was developed and approved by RA MoESCS. The researchers and experts involved from the universities conceptually presented the existing issues in the field of postgraduate education and defined possible solutions as guidelines for further reforms.

On September 3-8, the second workshop-conference of "Strengthening the quality of online education in HEIs in Moldova and Armenia" (MEDIA) project took place at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia
During the gathering, issues related to project management, dissemination and application of results were discussed. The meeting was attended by representatives from educational institutions of Armenia, Moldova, Germany, Finland, Latvia and NEO Armenia.
The project is coordinated by Moldova State University.

On November 20-22, the final conference of “Introducing work-based learning in higher education systems of Armenia and Moldova for better employability of graduates” (WBL4JOB) project took place.
During the conference, the achievements of the project, possibilities of expanding cooperation between enterprises and universities were discussed and the importance of implementing policies promoting work-based learning was also emphasized.
The project was coordinated by the French University in Armenia.

On October 30th, the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia successfully implemented the online meeting with Erasmus Mundus Armenian alumni Anush Arakelyan and Hayk Kalantaryan in the frames of the “Mundus Talks” series of webinars.
The webinar titled “Before, During, and After Erasmus Mundus” was aimed to present the details of the application and study processes, as well as the impact of the program on the future life and career of the students.
