Practical meetings following up the “Teaching and Learning Methods” thematic discussion

On 22 November 2022, after the Thematic discussion “Teaching and Learning Methods” held at the Yerevan State University under the joint initiative of the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, practical visits were organized. A survey was carried out among the participants on the follow-up of the thematic discussion and considering the results it was decided to continue practical meetings at the Erasmus+ CBHE’s premises.

Thus, on January 27, representatives of several educational institutions of Armenia were hosted at the Center for Ecological Noosphere Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia on a practical visit. During the meeting, the attendees got acquainted with the new and innovative methods of teaching and research of the Center and the features of project-based interdisciplinary education implemented at the “Environmental Protection and Natural Use” Chair of the Ecocenter and National Academy of Sciences of RA and the International Scientific Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of RA. The guests were offered a tour and got acquainted with the ERLEP laboratory established within the framework of  Erasmus+ “Menvipro” CBHE project.

Continuing the meetings, professors of Yerevan State University trained in the frames of the Erasmus+ CBHE PRINTel hosted the participants from February 1 to February 7, 2023.

The trainings were conducted by the professors representing departments of European Languages and Communication, Chemistry, Philosophy and Psychology Faculties, who were trained at leading European universities, including the Catholic University of Leuven, the Universities of Barcelona, Linköping, and Porto, within the framework of the Erasmus+ CBHE PRINTeL.

The offered topics were: “Active learning and the use of active learning methods in the context of a digital learning environment”, “Advantages and limitations of using the flipped classroom model”, “Videos as a teaching tool”, “Combined teaching and learning”, “Active learning and digital technologies in teaching: Mobile Learning and Gamification”.
