Info session on Jean Monnet Actions will be held on December 15, 2023
The next meeting in the frames of “Erasmus+ Information Days 2023” will be dedicated to Jean Monnet Actions. The National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia invites university professors and other interested parties to take part in the info session on December 15, 15:00 at Eurasia International University.
The speaker of the meeting is Anna Khvorostiankina, Head of the Law Department at Eurasia International University, academic coordinator of the “EUSecJuris” Jean Monnet Module, and the Jean Monnet Chair in “EU Legal Studies and Legal Europeanization” / EuroLaw. Anna Khvorostiankina will deliver a professional development workshop addressing the issues of methodology of project design and implementation, the strategy of integration of the Jean Monnet activities into scholars’ teaching and research agendas in EU Studies widely understood, the participation in the Jean Monnet action as a part of the academic career building, as well as the technicalities of the Jean Monnet application process. The workshop is organized in the framework of the Academy of Research in EU Studies (AREUS) which is an integral part of the EuroLaw Jean Monnet Chair program.

WHAT DO JEAN MONNET ACTIONS INCLUDE?
Jean Monnet Activities aim to promote excellence in teaching and research in the field of European Union Studies worldwide. In the frames of the Actions, you have the opportunity to apply within the following directions.
JEAN MONNET MODULES
Within Jean Monnet Module, you can develop a short teaching programme or courses in the field of European Union studies at a higher education institution. A Module can be a general or introductory course on EU issues, specialised teaching on EU developments or fully recognised summer courses or intensive courses.
JEAN MONNET CHAIRS
Jean Monnet Chairs are teaching posts with a specialisation in European Union studies for university professors. A Jean Monnet Chair must last for three years, and must have a minimum duration of 90 teaching hours per academic year.
JEAN MONNET CENTRES OF EXCELLENCE
A Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence gathers the expertise and competences of high-level experts and aims at developing synergies between the various disciplines and resources in European Studies, as well as at creating joint transnational activities and structural links with academic institutions in other countries.
JEAN MONNET SUPPORT TO ASSOCIATIONS
Jean Monnet supports associations that have as their explicit purpose to contribute to the study of the European integration process. Such associations should be interdisciplinary and open to all interested professors, teachers and researchers specialising in European Union issues in the relevant country or region.
JEAN MONNET NETWORKS
Jean Monnet Networks foster the creation and development of consortia of international players (HEIs, Centres of Excellence, departments, teams, individual experts, etc.) in the area of European Union studies. They contribute to gathering information, exchanging practices, building knowledge and promoting the European integration process across the world.
JEAN MONNET PROJECTS
Jean Monnet Projects support innovation, cross-fertilisation and the spread of European Union content. There are a broad range of activities that can be carried out, from the design and development of education materials and tools to the organisation of events. These projects may last 12-24 months.
