Pre-Departure Orientation Meeting for the newly selected scholarship grantees of Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Programmes
On the 21st of July 2021, National Erasmus+ Office in close cooperation with the EU Delegation to Armenia organized a Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) Meeting for the newly selected scholarship grantees of Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Programmes (EMJMDs).
The opening remarks were delivered by H.E. Ambassador of the EU Delegation to Armenia Andrea Wiktorin, RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, Sports Arthur Martirosyan, and Lana Karlova, the Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia.
The meeting was quite interactive. The scholarship grantees were provided with detailed information on visa procedures as well as cultural and social specificities of the host countries by Klaus Wendelberger, German Deputy Ambassador to Armenia, Ani Šaginjanová, Head of Consular Department of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Yerevan, Narek Tovmasyan, Programmes and Partnerships Manager at British Council and Mikaella Markarian, Managing Director of Traveler Club.
EMJMD alumni Vahe Zargaryan (European Master in Lexicography (EMLex)), Tatev Derzyan (European Politics and Society: Vaclav Havel Joint Master Program (EPS)), and Marine Ovesyan (Technology for Translating and Interpreting (EM TTI)) shared their experience and study abroad tips with the scholarship holders.
At the end of the PDO, the soon-to-be MA students participated in the “Intercultural Communication” Training conducted by the President of the Armenian Lifelong Learning League Varuzhan Avanesyan.
As you have already been informed, this year 9 applicants from Armenia were awarded full scholarships to start their academic joint Master’s programmes in Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Belgium and the Czech Republic, thus increasing the total number of scholarship holders from Armenia to 150.
Within the framework of Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Programmes, Armenian applicants can receive a full scholarship to study in double or joint international master’s programs. To learn more about EMJMDs and the scholarship application procedure, visit our webpage․
