We present to you the newsletter summarizing the activities of the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia and its partners covering the first half of 2024, where you can learn about the events and initiatives held within the framework of the Erasmus+ program in Armenia.
Our goal is to inform you about the capacity development of HEIs and VET institutions, international credit mobility programs, our information campaigns, as well as joint events and meetings implemented with partners.

On February 13, the representatives of the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia and Medical College named after Pharmacist-Artist Levon Sargsyan went on a study visit to Gyumri to get acquainted with the activities of Gyumri Craftsman College N4, conduct an info session on Erasmus+ “Capacity building in Vocational Education and Training” Key Action and participate in the interim presentation of the Technasium project organized by Alvan Tsaghik social-educational center.

On March 6, the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia held an online information session dedicated to the Erasmus+ “Virtual Exchanges in Higher Education and Youth” action, the purpose of which was to present the procedure for applying to the action, conditions, possible scopes of cooperation and successful projects already funded with the participation of Armenia.

On June 20, “Erasmus+ National Kick-off Day 2024” event took place at the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports. The purpose of the event was to present the main goals, and expected results of the projects implemented by Armenian higher education and VET institutions that received funding as a result of the Erasmus+ Call 2023, hold discussions aimed at the implementation of these projects and identify the challenges of the field and solutions. The event hosted more than 150 representatives from higher and vocational education institutions, education policymakers, civil society and business representatives and other interested parties.

On the 27th of June, a Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) Meeting was organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia and the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia for new Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters scholarship winners from Armenia.
Thanks to the funding of the European Union, 7 individuals will receive master’s education in Portugal, Spain, Germany, Great Britain, Serbia, Greece, Italy, Malta and other countries in frames of Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s programs.

On April 16, representatives of the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia and Erasmus+ Youth & European Solidarity Corps Information Center in Armenia held an information session on the opportunities provided by the Erasmus+ program at the Innovation Knowledge Hub Tavush near YSU Ijevan branch. The info session hosted 37 young people from Tavush region.

On May 24, the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia participated in Sunchild International Environmental Festival. At the “Youth Corner” of the festival, NEO Armenia representatives introduced the opportunities of the Erasmus+ programme to the youth, professors, civil society representatives, environmental enthusiasts, etc.

On May 16, the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia participated in “BanUGorts. YSU Expo-2024” organised by the Yerevan State University. During the expo, the employees and volunteers of the Office presented the opportunities of the Erasmus+ program to the interested parties and answered their questions.

On April 6, the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia together with the Armenia Tree Project Foundation and Armenian State Pedagogical University organized and implemented a Tree Planting initiative in Semonyan Park in Sasunik village, Aragatsotn region.
The aim of the tree planting initiative was to raise awareness about environmental issues within the framework of Erasmus+ priority, Green Deal.
