HERE Regional Seminar “A Framework for Effective Microcredential Design: Best Practices and Guidelines for Developing High-Quality Credentials”
On March 11-12 “A Framework for Effective Microcredential Design: Best Practices and Guidelines for Developing High-Quality Credentials” HERE regional seminar will be held online. The seminar is organised by the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia in cooperation with Arevik Ohanyan, Higher Education Reform Expert (HERE), Strategic Project Manager of Eurasia International University, and the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine within the framework of Erasmus+ technical assistance missions.
Target Audience
The HERE regional seminar targets policymakers, HEREs, faculty members and administrative staff, curriculum developers as well as representatives of International offices of higher education and research institutions.
The participants will:
- Grasp microcredential policy landscape, best practices, and national-level development.
- Understand regulations promoting high-quality, accessible microcredentials.
- Understand microcredential concepts, best practices, and the development process.
- Learn the design framework to enhance workforce competencies and support lifelong learning.
The speaker
Chiara Finocchietti is the Director of CIMEA – NARIC Italia. As a Geographer with a background in research, she has authored numerous articles and publications focusing on credential evaluation, ethics in education, recognition of refugees’ qualifications, transnational education, digitalization, and artificial intelligence. Chiara is actively involved in various international working groups related to higher education policies and currently serves as the President of the ENIC Network. She has participated in the European Union Micro-credentials Higher Education Consultation Group and contributed as a member of the Italian Ministry of University and Research working group on the same topic. Furthermore, Chiara has dedicated her efforts to the recognition of micro-credentials within the European Higher Education Area.
Format of the Webinar
The webinar will be held over two consecutive days, with each session lasting 4 hours. Additionally, there will be a separate day devoted to online consultations for policy makers.
