NEO Networking Meetings with EACEA, National Agencies and other partners

On June 13-14, the National Erasmus+ Offices (NEO) Networking Meeting was held in Brussels, Belgium, organized by the European Commission and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). Over 20 National Erasmus+ Offices were participating. The Armenian Office was represented by the Office coordinator Ms. Lana Karlova and the program manager Ms. Arpine Jraghatspanyan.

The purpose of the networking meeting was to explore the results and priorities of the Erasmus+ Programme, discuss the implementation challenges, and establish new partnerships.

The two-day event launched with the welcome speech of Sophie Beernaerts, the Acting Director of EACEA, and Barbara Gessler, the Head of the Unit (EACEA), followed by the presentation of the Policy officer in International Cooperation, Directorate-General Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC), Adrian Veale, on the results and priorities of the Erasmus+ program in recent years.

Afterward, the participants got acquainted with the latest developments and news of the Programme, received practical tips on its implementation process, as well as on the preparation of reports of the Programme.

One of the most important points of the meetings was the regional session, during which the NEO representatives had the opportunity to raise the policy issues and challenges faced by the NEOs, HEIs, VETs, the academic community, and students during the implementation of the Programme, to receive answers to them or opportunities to solve these problems in the near future.

The event was concluded with bilateral meetings with representatives of the National Agencies of the Countries associated to the Programme (The Netherlands, Serbia, Hungary, Spain, France). These fruitful discussions led to the establishment of several agreements, the details of which will be announced separately very soon.
